What is better than having extra paid time away from the office? A great tool that most businesses utilize to push sales up is the promise of adding vacation days to their calendar. Say that your whole team has been doing a great job this year or quarter, should you add them for everyone? The answer to that is absolutely. The rule still stands that vacation days should be taken in turns, so those additional days should not interfere with your day-to-day business.
Food and extra vacation days are great, but nothing beats being promoted. Employees feel truly valued when they are provided with the opportunity to showcase their talents. Those employees who bring in the best sales numbers or get the deals done should be on the top of your list. You don’t have to promote them instantly, rather give them the opportunity to grow through training or sitting during a company meeting. This is truly a win-win situation as your employees feel appreciated, and you are able to look out for top talent that could be of use within your management team.
