Here are a few ideas that work for some of my clients.
Client 1 super organized but has a hard time following through when she gets flustered so we found that having a super controlled routine works well for her. She has a calendar she setup that syncs to her main calendar for tasks. On Monday’s she does her email marketing at 8am, and at 8:45 she takes a 15 minute break from her office and sweeps her kitchen. 9:00am she is. Ack at her desk going through emails. 9:45 she again takes a break and unloads the dishwasher, and so on.
Client 2 is a free spirit and just doesn’t get things done but always has 50 lists going in her head. For her she has scheduled brain dump times (out of her head and into Trello). From there she has 3 levels of priority: Musts, should and someday. She now has an established set of hours each day, with meditation and lunch break built in. Then in the must column she establishes due date and time with reminders. Should column is due date only. As the musts get done she then moves to should and then someday. She has gotten very efficient and usually has at least most and should done by the end of each week and a couple someday as well. She loves this as it keeps her organized but not restricted.
Hope that helps!
